Woodcroft gets green light for further expansion

There have been many exciting developments at Living Choice Woodcroft since the company took over the ailing Fernleigh Gardens Retirement Village in May this year. Sales have been brisk with 20 deposits taken since Living Choice acquired the village. In October, the Onkaparinga Council granted development approval for an additional 84 new villas and in November, approval was given for the 5-star leisure centre and leisure centre apartments.

This is great news for both the residents and clients as the added amenities and accommodation options will ensure that the village is always in demand.

The approval has set in motion a flurry of further activity for Living Choice’s design team and construction staff. Tenders from sub-contractors have been invited and it is anticipated that civil works will start after the Christmas break.

The two-storey leisure centre will be unrivalled in the area and will include an indoor heated pool, auditorium with dance floor and stage, cinema, art and craft studio, billiards and cards areas, residents’ kitchen and bar, hair salon, gymnasium and medical consulting rooms.

A refurbishment programme is currently underway with resale homes available being brought up to the “Living Choice standard” before being offered for sale.
