Retirement Living Revolution

Living Choice Fullarton Revolutionises Retirement Living
Adelaide residents now have access to the most upmarket retirement living in the country after the official opening of a 5-star luxury retirement resort on Fisher Street in Fullarton. South Australian Directors Graham Hobbs and Ian Tregoning believe the $112 million development has revolutionised the concept of retirement village living.

“Living Choice Fullarton is a 5-star facility that we believe sets us apart from any other competitive model, particularly in Adelaide,” Ian said.

“We have a restaurant, bowling green, indoor heated pool, gym, surround-sound movie theatre, workshop, wellness centre, a hair and beauty salon, and even consultancy rooms for health care professionals on site.

“Initially we asked interested clients what they wanted in their ideal retirement village, and the result is Living Choice Fullarton – a superb mix of beautifully designed apartments plus a wide range of leisure and sporting facilities,” he said.

In an Australian first, many of these facilities are open to the public, which is expected to benefit both the residents and wider community.

“We are the first retirement village that welcomes the public, and we are proud to share our restaurant, coffee shop, medical practitioners, gym and fitness classes with the local community,” Graham said.

“By inviting the public in, not only does it expose them to the lifestyle that we offer at Living Choice, but it also facilitates community interaction for the residents.”

The official opening of Living Choice Fullarton marks the culmination of a long held dream for the South Australian owners. For nearly ten years they searched for the perfect location to build a luxury retirement village in their home town.

“When I was researching retirement living options for my dad, I realised there wasn’t anything available in Adelaide that he would be comfortable with,” Ian said. “I wanted to build something that he would be proud to live in.”

Sadly, Ian’s dad passed away before he could move in, but the luxurious six story development which includes 140 apartments nestled among landscaped gardens, provides an enviable lifestyle. Over sixty residents have already moved in, including renowned architect Brian Quinn.

“I’m pleased to say that my expectations have been more than satisfied,” Brian said. “As a retired architect I can appreciate the design, quality workmanship and finishes that have resulted in what must be one of the best such facilities in the country.

“The community at Fisher Street is steadily growing, and I am confident that the friendships that have developed, and the welcome to new residents, will continue to make this a very desirable address.”

Over 300 people celebrated the opening of Living Choice Fullarton on Thursday, February 19, which was attended by His Excellency the Honourable Hieu Van Le AO, Governor of South Australia.
