The popular Christmas Concert hosted by the Twin Waters Residents’ Association (TWRA) at Novotel Twin Waters will have a beautiful nativity scene this year, thanks to several hard-working residents at Living Choice Twin Waters.
Recently, Living Choice donated funds to the woodworking group to upgrade the workshop’s machinery and the funding boost sparked new interest amongst those who love creating items made of wood.
One of the group’s first projects was to create a nativity scene for TWRA’s annual Christmas Concert, which is attended by hundreds of people each year. The scene includes Joseph and Mary with baby Jesus, three shepherds, two sheep, three kings, a cow and mule, a drummer boy, angel and star.
The items were painted by local artists in the village and presented to the TWRA on Thursday 3rd December, in plenty of time for the concert in the Wandiny Room on Sunday 20th December at 5pm, followed by fireworks over the lagoon at 8pm. There will be entertainment by the Sunshine Coast Youth Band and the Goodwin Performing Arts Group and everyone is encouraged to bring a gift for a needy child.
