Living Choice Classic attracts big field

The Living Choice Classic, a three-day tournament hosted by the Headland Veteran Golfers on the Sunshine Coast, attracted 231 golfers from 32 Veteran golfing groups from Mackay in the north to the Gold Coast in the south and inland to Toowoomba. Once again, Living Choice was the major sponsor, joining fellow sponsors, On Course National Golf Shop, KVM Traffic Services, BBQ’s Galore, Allcoast Golf Cars and Oster & Perry Funerals to support the popular annual event.

Players competed in a Mixed 4BBB Stableford on Sunday 20th November and in Single Stableford games on the Monday and Tuesday. Fifty-six trophies were presented at the prize giving, attended by 130 golfers and sponsors, including Tim Bentley, General Manager QLD & NSW Central Coast, and Linda Hooper, National Marketing Manager. Tim took the opportunity to announce that Living Choice would increase its sponsorship by 50% next year.

Despite the lack of rain, the playing conditions were excellent, presenting the players with an opportunity to score well. Veterans from Headland Golf Club dominated the Divisional Eclectic Trophies with Vets’ Captain Phil Martin winning the Overall Eclectic trophy and Leigh Derigo declared the overall Divisional Winner.

Other Divisional Eclectic winners were:
