“Golden Girls” show off latest summer fashions

Connie Cameron Reports

Golden Girl Fashions recently held a fashion show in the atrium at Living Choice Leisure Lea Gardens, which lends itself to such an occasion, as it is airy, bright and cheerful.  Leisure Lea Gardens Residents, Wilma Van De Ven, Iris Skeoch, Male Loau and Val Hallowes again proved to be very professional models and showed the clothing on offer to the best advantage.

Once again Golden Girl Fashions had items with their own label, made here in Australia and mostly from natural fabrics. The cotton tops and skirts and dresses were very appropriate for our hot summers and are minimum care - no ironing. They had slacks as well in varying lengths and some more dressy jackets which could be teamed with a range of tops.

Morning tea was well received, made more special with the homemade slices and cake from Wilma.  Great work to everyone involved in making the show possible, including the maintenance boys who always do a good job setting up and lending a hand whenever needed.
