Glenhaven’s Rosemary still on cloud nine

Living Choice Glenhaven residents Rosemary Hall, Mal and Henny Duggan have attended the same church for the past 40 years and their children have gone to school together. Rosemary and her husband, Kevin were the first to move into the village in October 2016 and they were happy to refer their friends, Mal and Henny – a referral which has now earned Rosemary a $5,000 travel voucher.

“Delighted, thrilled, still on cloud nine”, is how Rosemary described her win a few days after receiving the giant voucher from Jason Sack, GM Sydney & SA, and Gail Eyres, Regional Manager, at the Gala Reward Event held to reward successful referrers to Sydney’s Living Choice’s villages, Glenhaven and Leisure Lea Gardens.

“We knew Mal and Henny from church and after we had been living here for around six months, they asked me what it was like. I assured them they could not find a better place. Gail and all the staff are just superb and will do anything for you. It’s gold class!” said Rosemary.

Kevin has since moved to the Arcare Aged Care Residence next door to the village and Rosemary said her villa was only a four-minute walk from Kevin’s room. “I go there every day and it’s a wonderful place.”

As usual, the Resident Ambassador team at Glenhaven pulled out all the stops to ensure the Gala Reward celebration was a memorable event. The lounge and bistro area were beautifully decorated and the drinks flowed while guests enjoyed delicious savouries, dips, dainty cakes and fruit. The talented musicians from Mimosa Duo also provided beautiful background music.

“It was a lovely afternoon, well-organised by both the Ambassadors and staff and I’m very proud of them,” said Gail.
