After Castle Hill Women’s Bowling Club’s Grades 2, 3 and 4 teams were successful in winning three out of four 2019 Mitchell District Pennant flags and the regional playoffs, a very proud contingent of 30 ladies (including team managers and reserves) will now continue to the State Playoffs at Kingscliff, Northern NSW, commencing 14th August.

Three Living Choice Glenhaven residents, Jenny Mann (Grade 3 team bowler), Lesley Henry (Grade 2 Manager) and Di Creed (Grade 2 Reserve), are preparing to join their teams and are very grateful for Living Choice’s support in their fundraising efforts.  “It is quite unusual to have one club win three flags, and it can be appreciated that this will prove to be quite a logistical feat and expense to send 30 ladies to Kingscliff,” said Di.  She added that it had been heartwarming to have the support of the Castle Hill Men’s Bowling Club, who were very proud of the ladies’ efforts.

The club is holding a Fashion Parade by Rainbow Fashions to raise funds for the trip. It will be held at Castle Hill Bowling Club on 26th July at 10.30am. Tickets are only $15, which includes a light lunch. There will also be a silent auction for jewellery and raffle prizes. For more information, contact the club at (02) 9634 2192.
