After a lengthy approvals and tender process, construction has now started on the multi-million dollar leisure centre and new apartments at Living Choice Woodcroft. In the lead-up to Christmas, the construction team was flat out getting preparation works completed, such as an access road and set down areas for trucks to deliver building materials, extensive underpinning of the existing apartments and building a retaining wall.
Project Manager Renato Obbiettivo, who built the award-winning Living Choice Fullarton, has been appointed to oversee the leisure centre project and the new apartments.
The two-storey leisure centre will be unrivalled in the area and will include an auditorium with dance floor and stage, residents’ bar and kitchen, indoor heated pool, library and computer room, hair salon, consulting rooms for visiting medical professionals, billiards and cards areas, craft room, gymnasium and residential apartments.
Meanwhile, it has been a hectic year for Construction Manager Rob Grech and his team. Earlier this year they started construction on 46 new villas and have completed 23 ready for sale. Several new villas have already been occupied, with Bob Mills and Victoria Delaney being the first residents to move into a new villa at Woodcroft.
Two new roads – Reynell Way and East Terrace – have also been bitumised and opened for traffic. The construction team will be back on site on 9th January and it will be full steam ahead for a busy 2017.
