Following the success of the inaugural Writers’ Festival at Living Choice Glenhaven last year, plans for the second festival are in full swing and we would love you to attend! The Writers’ Group at the village has assembled a great line-up of speakers including journalist and author, Tim Elliott, historian and author, Dr Margaret Rodwell and residents Lorna Clayton, David Nelson, Anita Stevens, Helen Joyce, Dick Gillard and Graham Ascough. The festival is free and includes complimentary morning tea and lunch.

Tim Elliott is an award-winning journalist whose work has been published in The Sydney Morning Herald, The Australian Financial Review, London’s Financial Times and Sunday Times. His book, “Farewell to the Father”, a moving memoir of love, tragedy and redemption, earned rave reviews.
Historian Dr Margaret Rodwell started her working life as a primary school teacher and later attained a BA, PhD and an MA Hons. She particularly enjoys the social history of the 19th Century. She was awarded the History Council of NSW’s John Ferry Prize and is an Honorary Associate of the School of Humanities at UNE. Her articles have been published in several referee journals.
